Shammi Silva, the Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
Silva brings extensive experience to the role, having served for several years as the Chairman of the ACC’s Finance and Marketing Committee.
He succeeds Jay Shah of India, who previously held the position. Notably, Silva’s appointment follows his recent assumption of the role of Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) last week.
This marks a significant milestone for Sri Lanka Cricket on the international stage.
