A senior official of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board said that it had been decided to award a special cash prize of nearly one crore rupees to the Sri Lankan women’s one-day cricket team, which established a world record by defeating South Africa.
The official further mentioned that the cash prize will be given to all the female players of that team and that the value of the cash prize has not been confirmed yet because several high-ranking officials of the cricket organization are abroad.
