The 77th National Independence Day celebrations have officially commenced at Independence Square.
This year’s event is being held under the theme “Let’s Rally for National Revival”, with the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
According to Aloka Bandara, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, the celebrations have been organized with a focus on cost efficiency.
