Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has decided that the Sports Ministry should stand up for the cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilake, who is imprisoned in Australia for rape charges.
A senior official of the Sports Ministry said that since Dhanushka was accused while representing Sri Lanka, he should appear on his behalf and discuss with Sri Lanka Cricket how to intervene.
