The Speaker informed Parliament today (23) that a special security check will be carried out on three days in November.

According to the announcement, the security checks will take place on the 4th, 6th, and 7th of November.

The Speaker further stated that the entire Parliament complex, including Members of Parliament’s lounges and wardrobes, will be subjected to inspection. In addition, high-security zones within the Parliament building will undergo special security checks on Friday, November 7.

On that day, access to the public gallery will be limited to invited guests only. Invitations for guests will be issued by the Ministry of Finance.

MPs were also advised to be accompanied by their drivers when attending Parliament on Friday, as the special security program will be in effect.

The Speaker informed the House that the Parliament car park will be closed on that day, and vehicles arriving at the premises will be directed to an alternative parking area.

Furthermore, a special traffic plan will be implemented in conjunction with the security program on the same day.
