“President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa is still in the country, I made a mistake in the (BBC) interview,” Speaker of Sri Lanka’s Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena told Indian News Agency ANI in a phone call.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena told the BBC yesterday that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has left the island, is in a nearby country, and will return by Wednesday.
