The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has announced that it will take strict disciplinary action against all Members of Parliament who act in violation of party decisions or challenge the authority of the party leadership, regardless of their position.
This decision was made during the SJB Working Committee meeting held last week, chaired by party leader Sajith Premadasa, where members unanimously adopted the resolution.
As part of the move, a permanent disciplinary committee will be appointed to handle all disciplinary matters within the party.
It was further proposed that any MP who defies party decisions or publicly expresses views against the party leadership will face disciplinary measures, which could include expulsion from the party.
