In line with the decision of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to contest the upcoming local government elections independently, the party has taken steps to appoint nomination boards for all districts.
Despite certain reports suggesting that the United National Party (UNP) and SJB will contest the elections together, SJB leaders have firmly denied these claims, stating that such reports are entirely false.
