Samagi Jana Balawegaya, the main opposition, has filed a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court against the government’s establishment of committees headed by the former chairmen of local government bodies to lead those local government bodies.
This petition has been submitted by Mr. Dimuthu Kuruppuarachchi, a lawyer.
