Singapore and Maldives Impose Visa Fees on Sri Lankan Visitors in Tit-for-Tat Move! Sri Lanka Latest News

It is reported that both the Maldives and Singapore have suspended the free visa system given to tourists in Sri Lanka and are focused on getting some payment for it. Sri Lanka Latest News

This is because the VFS agency charges Maldivian and Singaporean tourists visiting Sri Lanka a processing fee and facility fee of $26.

So far, there has been no charge for Maldivian and Singaporean tourists visiting Sri Lanka.

But with VFS taking over the related activities, a charge was also made from the tourists of these countries.

Accordingly, it has been learned that the Maldivian and Singaporean authorities have focused on suspending the free visa facility that had been given to Sri Lankan tourists so far.
