A shooting incident has been reported in Narahenpita, targeting former Executive Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa.
According to police, two unidentified gunmen carried out the attack. Halloluwa’s vehicle sustained damage during the incident.
At the time of the attack, Halloluwa was reportedly inside the car. However, no gunshot injuries have been reported.
It has been further reported that the assailants, who arrived on a motorcycle, assaulted Halloluwa and took away a file containing important documents.
Attorney-at-Law Dinesh Dodangoda stated that both he and Thusitha Halloluwa were assaulted during the incident. They are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, on the directive of the Acting Inspector General of Police, investigations into the shooting have been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
