Answering the question of whether the farmers will sell the Sevanagala Sugar Company, the Minister again said that Sevanagala, which is not profitable at all, will not be allowed to be sold in his time, and he said that he was looking forward to the new sugar factory that was to be built in Velioya area of Monaragala district.
Sajith says that this is given for a real item and will sell it. Most responsibly, I will not sell any profitable ministry in my ministry. Sevanagala is on the list for sale. I don’t know how it came about. I am not selling this. They say they are going to give it to friends. Family friends don’t buy this. They have asked for some money. We will give it to you. said the minister.
When these ministries are given, they do not give us what we want. You can’t even get what you want. We have to do the duty given to us.
They said that those who want to make a statue of Minister Janaka Vakkambura and Minister Rames Pathirana and put garlands on it are the ones who took this Sevanagala to grace.
