Seven Victims Identified in Tragic Foxhill Accident; Race Drivers Too Arrested Amidst Investigation – Sri Lanka’s Latest News

Two motorists have been arrested in connection with the accident that took place during the Diyathalawa Fox Hill Motor Race, killing 7 people.Sri Lanka Latest News

Both of them were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital and arrested by the police.

The police said that 23 other people were injured and hospitalized for treatment.

The 2024 Fox Hill Motor Racing Series started yesterday (21) morning at Diyatalawa Nariyakanda race track.

This tournament was held after 5 years.

The race was last held on April 21, 2019, and had to be stopped midway due to the Easter attack.

Accordingly, the tournament was not held for 5 years and it was reported that there was a large participation in the event at this time.

The accident happened when a car ran off the track during the race which started today (21) in the morning.

The Sri Lanka Army has started an internal investigation into the accident.

The Army stated that these investigations are being conducted using the existing videotapes and photographs regarding the accident.

The Sri Lankan Army stated that one person receiving treatment at the Diyatalawa Hospital is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

Age: 20 years.

  8. It’s Krisantha, 42 years old. – Patitiyagedara.
  9. Samika Chaturanga age 27 years.
