The Jaffna Security Forces Commander, Major General Manada Yahampath, formally handed over the relevant documents to Jaffna District Secretary M. Pradeepan yesterday.

Accordingly, 20 acres of land in the Vasavilan division of the Valikamam North Divisional Secretariat, 15 acres of land in Mankollai village, and 5 acres of land in the Jaffna–Katakovalam area have been released to civilian ownership.

The Jaffna District Secretariat further stated that the released lands will be handed over to their original owners without delay.
