School bus meet with an accident! Three students hurt! Rushed to the hospital  I Sri Lanka Latest News

Navagamuwa police said that three school students who were injured in the road accident that occurred this morning (28) when a SLTB bus carrying school children collided with a passenger bus in the Ranala Sudawila area of Colombo – Avissawella low level road. The injured students have been admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital in Colombo. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

The condition of one student who was injured in the accident is serious and two other students have also been injured, the police said.

The accident occurred when a private bus traveling from Colombo to Hambantota collided with a SLTB bus carrying school students from Avissawella to Colombo Ananda Vidyalaya, which was trying to pass a bus belonging to the Ceylon Transport Board which was running from Colombo to Hatton. The police also said that the school bus had hit two high power poles near the road and stopped.

A senior officer of Navagamuwa Police said that the driver of the Ceylon Transport Board bus that was driving from Colombo to Hatton and the driver of the private bus that was driving from Colombo to Hambantota involved in the accident have been arrested and the two suspects will be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court. .

Sub-Inspector Sunil, Station OIC of Traffic Division of Nawagamuwa Police, conducted the investigations.
