Sajith Premadasa’s Swift Action Rebuilt Churches After Easter Attacks Amid Ongoing Search for Masterminds
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

More than six years have passed since the tragic Easter Sunday attacks, yet many Sri Lankans continue to seek answers about the true masterminds behind the coordinated terror strikes.

Amid ongoing investigations and national efforts to identify those responsible, it is important to recall the swift and compassionate response led by Mr. Sajith Premadasa, who was serving as the Minister of Housing and Construction at the time.

While much of the country focused on uncovering those behind the attacks, Mr. Premadasa took immediate action to restore all the damaged churches. His prompt intervention ensured that the restoration work was completed in a remarkably short period, allowing worshippers to return to their places of devotion without prolonged disruption.

In recognition of these efforts, His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith extended his special gratitude to Mr. Sajith Premadasa at that time for his role in rebuilding and providing a space for healing and worship.
