The European Union Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ms. Carmen Moreno, met with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa at his Colombo office today to discuss the ongoing disaster situation. Sri Lanka Latest News
During the meeting, both sides engaged in an extensive exchange of views on the severe impact of Cyclone Ditva. Opposition Leader Premadasa respectfully urged the European Union to provide Sri Lanka with the maximum possible support to address the current disaster and potential future pandemic-related challenges.
He also called for assistance from global leaders, led by the European Union, to ensure the continuation of essential services, maintain hospital operations, and restore the collapsed railway and highway transport systems.
