He stated that the government unfairly targeted specific religious and ethnic communities, violating World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines in the process. Premadasa emphasized that justice must be served to Muslim devotees whose rights were infringed upon and called for appropriate compensation to be provided to the affected families.
