Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, made a financial donation of 500,000 rupees to Sandaruwan Gunawardena, a resident of Borella Sahaspura, who qualified to represent the under-23 world wrestling tournament held in Spain.
It is for the funds needed to participate in the respective tournament.
The most special event witnessed here was that the opposition leader helped this player while the Sports Ministry looked away.
