Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said in the Parliament today (21) that engaging in the election campaign using public money during the election season is a prohibited act and it is illegal and criminal activity. Sri Lanka Latest News
Mr Sajith Premadasa stated that due to Mr Rishad Badiuddin’s joining with the United People’s Alliance, the government has taken measures to deprive Mr Rishad Badiuddin of the undisclosed funds allocated for Mr Rishad Badiuddin and also allocated 300 million to a member of parliament connected to the state side and that money will be used for the presidential election.
The opposition leader said that he would tell the government officials not to do such illegal activities and request the Election Commission to intervene to stop these illegal activities.
