That the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s sole objective is to build a local council and a local government body that provides continuous service to the people, and that all the local government councilors appointed by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya have a unique set of rules and regulations, and any member who violates them will be punished and will be subject to disciplinary action. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that he would be expelled.
The opposition leader said that contracts are prohibited for his MPs and they are not allowed to play with the property of the councils and the public.
The opposition leader said that at no time in history did the Samagi Jana Balawegaya or himself go canvassing from house to house to bring the Rajapaksa to power and did not hold meetings. He said that no one who destroyed the country and played with people’s lives is capable of building the country.
The leader of the opposition said that a bill will be brought to the parliament to recover the money stolen by politicians and other people, and an all-party commission will be established.
The opposition leader said that this country cannot be built by boasting and said that the people of the country should decide who can build the country without being deceived by fairy tales. The opposition leader said this while attending a meeting organized by the Balawega (An answer to the dumb country) in Dehiattakandiya.
