S.M. Marikkar has called on the government to clearly state when it intends to abolish the executive presidency, as previously promised to the nation.
Speaking to the media, Marikkar pointed out that the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has been advocating for the abolition of the executive presidency for a long time. He emphasized that since the government now holds a two-thirds majority in Parliament, it has the ability to fulfill this long-standing pledge.
