Dealers said Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 303.90/304.05 to the US dollar on Friday’s first-hour trading, while bond yields were broadly stable, and stocks opened 0.21 per cent down.
The rupee closed at 303.85/95 to the greenback on Thursday.
In equities, Colombo’s All Share Price Index fell 57.80 points during morning trade to 12,302 while the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks was down 0.90 per cent or 33.07 points to 3,637.
The market turnover was 168 million rupees.
In the secondary market, yields were broadly stable, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 10.10/25 per cent, up from 10.00/30 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 was quoted at 10.60/70 per cent down from 10.60/75 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 11.05/20 per cent, up from 11.00/15 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted stable at 11.80/85 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 11.80/90 percent down from 11.85/12.05 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2032 was quoted at 11.97/12.03 per cent from 11.95/12.15 per cent.
