Robbery Gang Strikes Fear in Panadura, Mt. Lavinia, and Nugegoda Police Divisions: Targets Pedestrians, Particularly Women, in Spate of 40 Incidents in One Month

Panadura, Mt.Lavinia and Nugegoda Police Divisions have created fear due to a gang that kneels People down and robs including women walking on the road.Sri Lanka Latest News

It is reported that the robbery gang has committed about 40 robberies within the past one month.

The police have received complaints about this gang from Moragahahena, Kasbewa, Piliyandala, Boralasgamuwa, Kahathuduwa, Kaduwela, Thebuwana etc.

We have also received CCTV footage of them stealing a motorcycle.

It is also said that the stolen motorcycles go to other areas and engage in robberies, leaving the motorcycles in the middle.

Also, in one case, we have received a video showing how a group of residents chased the robbers after fleeing after stealing gold.

Meanwhile, Bandaragama and Moranthuduwa police stations have arrested several suspects, but local residents say that the robberies are still going on.-Derana
