Rishad intends to sue Gota for imprisoning him without any valid reason! I Sri Lanka Latest News

Arresting without any valid reasons and keeping him in remand custody Rishad Badiuddin leader of All Ceylon Muslim Congress ( ACMC) said he intends to sue former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and a few state officials. Sri Lanka Latest News

Addressing Parliament today (Dec 01), Member of Parliament Badiuddin alleged that former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Director of Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) had planned to trap him for political gains and put him in prison for 05 years.

He further claimed that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials threatened the government officials working under their purview to make false statements against him. Still, they refused, thus acquitting him of all the cases filed against him.

Member of Parliament Rishad Badiuddin said he will file a case next week against the director of the Terrorism Investigation Division and former President Gotabhaya Rajapakse against all the officials against their wrongful detention.

He further mentioned that the case would be filed and compensation would be demanded from those persons.
