Reverend Galvewa Siridhamma, the Inter-University Bhikshu Balamandalaya convener, was checked into a medical facility. A spokesperson for the Colombo National Hospital said that he was hospitalized due to a sudden medical condition.
At that time, he was detained in Tangalle Prison under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
