Refuting recent talks of commission divided! Utility commission unanimously decided not to raise the electricity bill as the cabinet stated! What is Kanchana saying now?

A unanimous decision has been reached today (31) not to implement the interim electricity tariff amendment proposed by the Cabinet to be effective from January 1, 2023.

It was at the meeting of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.

The chairman of the commission Mr. Janaka Ratnayake said that all its members took this decision unanimously.
