Refused to Sign Large-Scale Deals During Election Period; Chairman of Major Authority Set for Removal | Sri Lanka Latest News
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

“With the presidential election announced, reports indicate that a chairman of a major government authority is set to be removed at the beginning of next week. Sri Lanka Latest News

The immediate cause for this action is the chairman’s refusal to approve several large-scale illegal transactions.

It is anticipated that within the coming week, officials will move to replace this chairman with a new appointee who will be expected to sign off on these transactions.

Last week, the government also removed a chairman from a similar major authority due to conflicts with the minister.”
