The Supreme Court has allowed the respondents, including the Monitory Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, to submit objections regarding a fundamental rights petition filed against a decision taken by the government.Sri Lanka Latest News
It is related to a petition filed requesting a ruling that the basic rights of its members are being violated through the government’s decision to reduce the interest paid to 9% when investing funds in the Provident Fund in treasury bills and bonds.
This petition was called today (04) before the three-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising Mr. Vijith Malalgoda, Mr. Gamini Amarasekara and Mr. Yasanta Kodagoda.
