Colombo – Addressing Parliament, MP Rauff Hakeem claimed that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake had assured him a position on the Parliamentary Affairs Committee. However, he alleged that Leader of the House, Bimal Ratnayake, had failed to fulfill this commitment.
The statement led to a heated exchange between Hakeem and Ratnayake during the session.
