The latest photographs showcase the ongoing construction of the Pothuhera to Rambukkana section, a key segment of the Central Expressway Phase 3, which extends from Pothuhera to Galagedara.

This phase of the expressway spans a total of 32.45 kilometers and includes four interchanges. It has been confirmed that interchanges will be established at Pothuhera, Polgahawela, Rambukkana, and Galagedara.

Currently, construction on the 13.7-kilometer stretch between Pothuhera and Rambukkana is progressing at an accelerated pace. The initial phase of this section is scheduled for completion by 2025, with the entire project set to be finalized and operational by July 2026.

Once construction is complete, the public will have access to the Central Expressway from Mirigama to Rambukkana, significantly enhancing connectivity and transportation efficiency in the region.
