The Chamber of Commerce issued a statement this morning claiming that the demonstration will be detrimental to the economy and thus not worth participating in.
These protestors recall the chamber that robed the country, the central bank robbery, tax concessions, the sugar scam, and a slew of other issues that occurred when the chambers were dumb.
Estate employees were promised a Rs1,000 wage but were not paid, people are going hungry, yet the business elite and government are wasting money and having fun. We will remain united here until we achieve our human rights and the freedom to live peacefully.
