A protest against the officers of the Department of Archeology was held yesterday (20) in Jaffna. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

In this protest which was held in Kopai area of Jaffna, the protestors said that the archeology officials are only loyal to Buddhism and are against Hinduism.

They stated that this was demonstrated very well when Mulathivu went to hold a Pongal festival in a temple in Kurudumale and when he went to deposit treasures in the temple of Sri Tissa Vihara in Kankasanthura, Jaffna.

The protestors in Jaffna pointed out that this is a severe injustice and said that scientific officials should act in a way that brings respect to the objects of all religions.

After this protest, which was held to influence the government in this regard, these protestors have sent a special letter to the government.
