Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says that he will not accept the Supreme Court’s interim order suspending Mr Deshbandu Tennakoon from serving as the Inspector General of Police. Sri Lanka Latest News
The Prime Minister also said that Mr Deshbandu Tennakoon is currently holding the post of Inspector General of Police.
“The Speaker and Parliament are reminded that the order of the Supreme Court suspending the work of the Police Chief should be annulled. We request the speaker to intervene in this regard as soon as possible.” The Prime Minister also said.
