Presidential Secretariat Discusses State Sponsorship for Bauddhaloka Vesak Zone

A discussion took place yesterday (31st) afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat between Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake and representatives of the Bauddhaloka Vesak Committee.

The meeting focused on securing state sponsorship for the Bauddhaloka Vesak Zone, which is being organized for the 24th consecutive year in celebration of this year’s Vesak festival. Discussions also covered the necessary preparations to ensure the event is conducted on a grand scale.

During the discussion, the Secretary to the President assured that the required support would be provided through state institutions, including the Presidential Secretariat, to facilitate the successful organization of the Bauddhaloka Vesak Zone.

Present at the meeting were Bauddhaloka Vesak Committee Chairman D. Upul Rupasinghe, Secretary M. V. P. Tennakoon, Treasurer C. K. Gamage, Organizer Ishan Buddhika Edirisuriya, and Vice President of the All Ceylon Buddhist Conference, Dr. Rani Fernando.
