At the inauguration of the National Youth Conference, the President emphasized that the next generation of leaders should be young people with integrity, ability, competence, and conscience—fully prepared to take charge of the nation after his term.
“Today, we hold the presidency, ministerial positions, and seats in Parliament. But when we assume these roles, we do so with the knowledge that one day we will step down. We have no intention of holding on to power indefinitely. This country was once in the hands of a highly destructive group, and political authority has now been entrusted to us. Our responsibility is to pass that power to you, the youth, in the near future,” the President said.
He stressed that the current leadership is not bound to power like a ‘multi-bond,’ but is committed to preparing a new generation of capable young leaders. “We must build a generation that can take over this country after us—youth with the skills, values, and moral strength to lead.”
The President further expressed his determination to cultivate a youth generation that can quickly adapt to new advancements in knowledge and actively seek out innovation. He said the future of the nation must be placed in their hands.
Highlighting the importance of social values, the President said the country needs youth who have compassion for society and are committed to taking the nation forward. He added that the youth movement carries a significant responsibility in this effort.
“Youth should strive to be just individuals. Before raising your voices for justice, you must first embody justice in your own lives,” the President stated.
Concluding his address, the President invited the participants to form a new youth movement—one that is well-qualified to take over state leadership and carry the country into the future.
