President Leads Final Budget Preparation Talks Ahead of February 17 Parliamentary Presentation

A preliminary discussion on the final phase of preparations for the 2025 budget, which is set to be presented to Parliament on February 17, was held at the Presidential Secretariat on the afternoon of February 13, under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The discussion was attended by Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation K.D. Lalkantha; Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe; Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando; Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake; Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Mahinda Siriwardena; and a group of senior government officials.
