President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that a prominent IT expert is set to arrive in Sri Lanka in the coming weeks, with the goal of transforming rural areas and digitizing the entire nation, as anticipated by the public.

The President made this announcement during his participation in the first public rally in Tangalle, which is aimed at the upcoming general election.

He revealed that the IT specialist is a Sri Lankan currently employed at a high-ranking position in a major American company. The President noted that the expert has agreed to return to Sri Lanka at his invitation and is eager to offer his services to support his homeland.

According to the President, this initiative will lead to the digitization of various sectors, including key centers across the country, ultimately creating a more efficient service for the people while minimizing opportunities for fraud and corruption.
