President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently on a four-day state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, participated in the “Invest in Sri Lanka – Round Table Meeting 2025” investment session this morning (16). The event, aimed at fostering economic collaboration, was organized with the joint efforts of public and private enterprises.
The meeting saw the active participation of prominent Chinese companies, including China Tianying Inc. (CNTY), China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., China Communications Construction Company Ltd., China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC Group), Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd., China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), China Energy International Group Company Ltd., and Guangzhou Public Transport Group.
This high-level engagement underscores the strengthening of economic ties between Sri Lanka and China, with a focus on attracting investment to bolster Sri Lanka’s development goals.
