President and Pohottu leaders discuss cabinet minister positions. Bandula, was kept out from the gathering! EXCLUSIVE

It has been revealed that President Ranil Wickramasinghe and a group of top Pohottuwa members conducted an important conversation this afternoon about the appointment of cabinet ministers.

That was the occasion for the President’s visit to Parliament today to make a special remark.

S.B. Dissanayake and Rohitha Abeygunawardena, seniors from Pohottuwa, took part in this conversation.

However, when this delegation arrived at the President’s Office of the Parliament for this discussion, it was discovered that Minister Bandhula Gunawardena was having a conversation with the President.

Here, the MPs have demanded that they meet with the President without Minister Bandula Gunawardena.

As a result, Mr. Bandula Gunawardena has made arrangements to depart the President’s room.

In the subsequent discussion, S. B. Dissanayake pointed out that the Pohottu MPs made a strong pledge to nominate the President, and yet, despite this, the Pohottu MPs are not granted cabinet minister seats.

In response, the president stated that the cabinet selection has been postponed because five SJB MPs are eager to join the cabinet.

The Pohottu MPs who have criticised the President’s statement have stated that it is safe to assume that no SJB MP will join the cabinet, and that opportunity has now passed them by owing to the President’s delay.

As a result, the Pohottu MPs, including Mr. Dissanayake, are believed to have notified the President that a government comprised of Pohottu MPs must be appointed immediately.

It has also been suggested that the President is acting in accordance with their ideals, which have included criticism of the incumbent ministers Bandula Gunawardena, Nimal Siripalada Silva, and Roshan Ranasinghe.

The President pointed out that these are Pohottuwa MPs selected by Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and he took the interim cabinet before him.

In response to the President’s comments, MPs have stated that if this is the fact, the temporary cabinet should be dissolved immediately and a permanent cabinet made up of pohottuwa MPs constituted.

It is also learned that the MPs have started procedures to notify the President that this must be done quickly and without further delay.

According to reliable sources, the President has finally indicated some agreement.

However, following this conversation, the Pohottuwa councillor group has chosen to have a lengthy talk with the Mawantri group about this, according to credible sources.
