Pradeep Jayawardena Joins Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Appointed as Gampaha District Organizer by Sajith Premadasa

Pradeep Jayawardena, grandson of the first executive president of Sri Lanka, Mr J. R. Jayawardena, has joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to support the political journey of opposition leader Mr Sajith Premadasa. Following his joining, Mr Premadasa appointed him as the organizer for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in the Gampaha district.

Previously, Pradeep Jayawardena served as the East Colombo Constituency Organizer and a Central Committee member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). In 2015, he entered politics with the SLFP representing the Gampaha district and was elected to the Colombo Municipal Council in the 2017 local government elections.
