At this moment, a terrible economic and social destruction is taking place in our country and at this moment nearly 60,000 families have lost clean drinking water and lakhs of hectares of cultivated land have been destroyed due to drought and also the livelihood of the entire working people including the farmers is being lost, said the opposition leader. Sri Lanka Latest News

The opposition leader said that almost 5000 school teachers and a large number of specialist doctors have left the country and due to this even the wards of the hospitals have been closed.

If the government has a program to recover the country from the fallen situation, everyone as an opposition would like to give maximum support, but the current government does not have such a program and should refrain from political gambling by the government and prepare a program to recover the country. Vipak leader Sajith Premadasa said that he would like to provide resources for that.

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said this while making a special statement today regarding the situation in which the country has fallen.

The opposition leader requested that no such support would be given in the hope of holding positions but only for the purpose of rescuing 220 lakh people from their fallen state and for that they should adopt modern technical strategies and forget the dirty politics of following out-dated programs. .

He said that they are not ready to betray the country and the people by being enslaved to positions and if they want to make political deals of such betrayal, they should look elsewhere and throw aside the national interest of the country and follow the politics of political gluttony.

Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, further said that 220 lakh people will not be fooled by the fiction created by the government-friendly media and will dedicate themselves to protect this motherland.
