Political Parties Plan Grand May Day Parade in Colombo Amidst Calls for Large Turnout on International Workers’ Day

It is reported that all the parties are currently planning to hold a grand May Day parade by calling a large crowd to Colombo on International Workers’ Day which falls on the first of May. Sri Lanka Latest News

According to the opinion poll released recently, all political parties have planned to put more weight on the May Day rally to increase their votes in the upcoming national elections.

Accordingly, Samagi Jana Balawega led by Mr. Sajith Premadasa who won 39% of the opinion poll has decided to hold a May Day rally by calling more than 100,000 people to Colombo in a way that no political party has done in history.

Apart from this, the United National Party headed by the President, the National People’s Force headed by Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and the Pohottuwa headed by Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa have decided to hold the May Day rally in Colombo with high public participation.
