DIG Nihal Talduwa, the Police Media Spokesperson, announced that individuals who engage in disruptive activities, such as fire crackers or intimidating the public, during the nomination period for the upcoming general election, will be subject to arrest.
He made this statement during a press conference held in Colombo yesterday.
DIG Talduwa also emphasized that the use of loudspeakers requires proper licensing and that any violations will be addressed accordingly.
