The well-known businessman made this threat on the last 23rd night. The police had given a period of 14 days for this festival and the police refused to give a few days more than that period.
Due to the increase in thefts in the area, the increase in traffic accidents, as well as protests from many parties, the police have not given permission to hold the festival any longer.
The well-known businessman who got angry because of this publicly scolded the OIC of Rajanganaya Police and threatened to take off his uniform.
Police sources say that several senior police officers are in close contact with this businessman and due to this, the implementation of the law against him is being postponed day by day.
During an inquiry made by Divaina in this regard, the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the North Central Province Mr. Rajitha Sri Daminda said that an investigation will be conducted under an Assistant Superintendent of Police.
A large number of people, including religious leaders and civil organizations of Rajangana, had strongly protested against the holding of this festival. But despite that objection, the well-known businessman, who was its organizer, worked to hold this festival for many days.
