Act of good faith, prosecuted in court! personal bail for being ‘true’!

Police get away without producing 1,78,00,000 entrusted! Magistrate call for money!

The court ordered the police today (28) to immediately present the money found inside the presidential palace by a group of youths and handed over to the Fort police. This money was found inside the Presidential Palace on the 9th.


The money had been handed over to the police and today Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered the station commander of Fort Police to present the money to the court immediately. The Fort Police has informed the court that 17.850,000.00 Rupees has been handed over to the Fort Police.


The magistrate pointed out that although three weeks have passed since the handover, no report has been submitted to the court regarding the money. Therefore, it was ordered to take steps to present the money to the court.


Meanwhile, four young men who were counting the money found inside the presidential palace were arrested and brought to court by the police. The magistrate ordered that the four suspects be released on personal bail of 5 lakh rupees each.
