Police Heads Shakeup: Major Transfers Announced! CID Now Under Dehideniya’s Command, Previously in Mt. Lavinia   I Sri Lanka Latest News

08 senior DIGs have been transferred from their current respective stations to different locations with immediate effect. Sri Lanka Latest News

The Police Media Spokesperson Office said that 08 Senior DIGs, one DIG, 08 Senior Superintendents of Police and one Superintendent of Police have been transferred.

Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya, who was in charge of the Crime and Traffic Division, and Mr S. C. . Medawatta have also been transferred as Senior Deputy Inspector General of Training and Advanced Training.

Mr K. P. M. Gunaratna who was Senior DIG in charge of Northern Province. has been transferred to the Western Province and Mr. S. W. M. Senaratta, who was in the Community Police Tourism and Investment position, has been transferred as the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Southern Province.

In addition, Mr K P A Jayasekara who was in Director of the Criminal investigation department transferred to Kalutara Division and Mr E. M. S. Dehideniya from Mt Lavinia Division is assigned to Director Criminal Investigation Division informs Police media information division.
