Pohottuwa Rejects Political Alliance with President, Says Secretary General Sagara Kariyawasam

Member of Parliament Sagara Kariyawasam says that the current President Ranil Wickremesinghe has not informed the Pohottuwa Party in any way that he is contesting the next presidential election. Sri Lanka Latest News

Although some MPs and ministers in Pohottuwa said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe is fit to be presented as a candidate in the upcoming presidential election, he says that the president has not declared that he will run for the presidential election not only to his party but also to anyone else.

The MP says that there is no discussion about the name of President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the discussions going on in Pohottuwa regarding the upcoming presidential election.

The MP Sagara Kariyawasam says that President Ranil Wickramasinghe’s economic policy is an economy that can be manipulated according to the needs of the market and according to that economic policy, he does not care about the country or the people of the country.

The MP says that Pohottuwa does not at all agree to go on a political journey with the President based on his economic policy.
