Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and its national organizer Namal Rajapaksa have informed a group of members of that party to stop wasting time talking about candidates from Colombo and go to the village and work dedicatedly to collect votes. Sri Lanka Latest News
The two have also said that ‘don’t just run after false candidates and work’.
The two said this when they met a group of members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna last week.
After a discussion with Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, this group of MPs met Mahinda Rajapaksa and Namal Rajapaksa.
It is learned that the group of MPs who have met the two have asked whom the party will support in the upcoming presidential election.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who has further commented there, has stated that it is a decision that should be taken by all the members of the party.
Sources further stated that the two have further mentioned that a common decision will be taken regarding the party’s candidate in the future that everyone can agree on.
