People’s Bank Card Center has unveiled an Internet Payment Gateway (IPG) to facilitate ticket purchases and donations for the Sri Dalada Maligawa – International Buddhist Museum Complex. This new system enables both local and international visitors to make payments conveniently using credit or debit cards from anywhere in the world.

The official launch ceremony took place on August 3rd at the Kandy Dalada Maligawa premises. The event was attended by key figures including Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela, People’s Bank CEO/GM Clive Fonseka, DGM (Payment, Process Management & Quality Assurance) Nilmini Premalal, DGM (Channel Management) Naleen Pathiranage, Head of Cards Jayanath Dias, Director – Media and Special Projects of Sri Dalada Maligawa Krishantha Hissella, People’s Bank Kandy Regional Manager Nalin Poththewela, and branch managers.

International Buddhist Museum established by the Sri Dalada Maligawa Kandy, is the only museum that showcases the expansion of Buddhism through the Asia and rest of the world.

The introduction of the IPG is a significant enhancement for the museum, offering a streamlined payment process that is expected to improve accessibility and convenience for visitors and supporters worldwide. This development aligns with the museum’s mission to engage a broader audience and facilitate easier contributions and interactions with its exhibits.
